This is a good irony.
But don't you think that calling him the saviour or god of tamil film industry is a bit too much?
I'll save my views on aethism, science and Kalaignar for another conversation (I'm 2 years late on this blog :)) but let me commend you for the enthu and drive to do a blog series entirely in Tamil.
It was only recently during my son's naamakaranam, when they made me write stuff in tamil in rice, did I realize I was woefully out of touch with writing Tamil!!
Kudos for the initiative!!

anonymous commenters please note...
Kalaignar is a very smart man. It is just sad that the guy who says "don't believe in god, believe in yourself" is made into a god by the people he is trying to lead.
there is irony there. there is sarcasm there.
it is truly sad that all you commenters who are using foul language and saying what you are saying need to be just listen to Kalaignar.
If you truly respect him, follow his advice.
I actually respect the man.
Wrote a similar post on how people spit paan outside Raj Ghat.
That is not me being bigger than the Mahatma or being "big enough" to pass a comment on the father of the nation.
It is directed at people who do not get the message.
this is truly the sad part.
